After several months of prep and the hours of excitement at the event itself, we can finally begin to rest after the amazing support we received from the Gala-Q 2022. It was a fantastic night of fellowship and fun, and we’re so happy that you guys matched our energy and enjoyed everything we had to offer. It’s because of your massive support and because of GOD that we continue to shatter our expectations and continue to grow as we influence more and more people.
After tallying up a frankly silly amount of numbers, we finally have our gross total… $204,921.56. This insane amount is counted before the expenses we took on to host this event, but it still represents the sheer volume of support we received from everyone who participated– everyone from the big dogs, to the auction donors, to even those that were simply curious and wanted to throw a few bucks at some random nonprofit in their community. It doesn’t matter if you donated a thousand dollars or only one– THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to such an earth-shattering amount.
During the event, we announced that we would be taking a step out in faith and moving all of our current volunteers onto our payroll. We estimated that funding this would require at least $30,914, and so that will be our next long-term donation goal… Or at least it would have been, except one of our largest benefactors paid off the full amount an hour after it was announced. The announcement was truly incredible, and we cannot thank you all enough. We are enormously grateful that God has blessed us with such wonderful people!
Not that we would have struggled to find that amount, evidently! The energy in the room was electric all night, and we’re so happy that you caught what we were looking for and amplified it threefold. The program went well enough that we even chose to extend the silent auction by fifteen minutes, just in case our bidders were too focused on what was happening onstage. And how did you enjoy the complimentary cake mixes, spatulas, and oven mitts? All of them are now on our shelves for sale, if you didn’t attend or need some extras for friends and family!
Frankly, there’s more about this Gala that we can even fit in one post. You may hear more about what we’ve been cooking in the coming days, weeks, or even months. We’re getting a new walk-in freezer, getting new gutters on the roof, and more… But I’m getting ahead of myself. Stay tuned and you might hear more from us!
