There are many ways and many areas that you can help us make a difference in the lives that we serve and the lives of special needs adults through your contributions.
Here at Special Kneads and Treats, Inc. our business model is to provide special needs adults with an opportunity to receive gainful employment in a safe and rewarding environment. We strive to provide a place where these outstanding individuals can learn a skill and develop a sense of accountability and pride. Our hope is that we can be a model to for profit businesses of the wealth of untapped resources and abilities that can be achieved through hiring from this special group of individuals. While at the same time utilizing these wonderful skills and talents to help us in serving those less fortunate.
Operational expenses for nonprofits are quite similar to for profit business in that we all have monthly expenditures in order to be able to do the things that we do. Current minimum wage is $7.25 per hour and with your donations to our operational expense you can ensure that we can continue to provide gainful employment to someone with a developmental disability.
