Don’t worry, that strange bar isn’t some cryptic April Fool’s joke. It’s new, and it’s important.
We got an incredible response at our recent fundraiser gala last month. Like the years before, we raised a ton of money to employ special needs adults and give free cakes to kids in our community. On the day of the gala alone, you all pulled together nearly $120,000! That’s a LOT of cakes, a LOT of payroll hours, and a LOT of opportunities. We can’t begin to express how incredibly blessed we are that God has given us such an incredible opportunity through your help. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
The bar, however, is there because one of our largest supporters to date issued a challenge at the gala:
If we can raise $100,000 in Building Payoff donations by the end of six months (September 20th), he will completely pay off the mortgage on our building.
Needless to say, we were absolutely floored. With our $215,000 mortgage paid off, that money raised would go towards better equipment, building expansions, or even a new location altogether.
If you would like to financially support us, there has never been a better time to do it. All donations to our Building Payoff fund (as well as any undeclared donations) will count towards this total. With the mortgage paid off, there’s nothing holding us back from expanding further. We have a lot of ideas on how to bring Special Kneads and Treats beyond Lawrenceville, and it all starts with this.
